FAQS for Registration for DAC, DACA, DVLSI, WIMC, PG-DGi

What is the procedure to get application form ?
Candidate who wish to apply for the Respective courses, is required to register for the course on our website http://acts.cdac.in. On successful registration, the candidate will get Login & Password. With the help of this login ID & password the candidate can fill the online application form.
Or 
Candidate can also fill in the printed application form at C-DAC, ACTS / any other authorized training center of C-DAC, ACTS offering the course. 

How to fill manual application form ?
Candidate should carefully fill in the manual application form and the same is need to be submitted along with the fees of Rs.600/- (Rupees Five hundred only) at C-DAC,ACTS, Pune or any authorized training center of C-DAC,ACTS. 

How will the candidate get the “login & Password”, if he/she fills the manual application form?
When Candidate is through with filling of manual application form and submits the same along with DD of Rs. 600 /-, then the center fills the registration form and application form on behalf of the candidate. On successful registration the centre will send eMail to the candidate informing the login ID & Password. Later candidate should use online system for further admission process.


What all things are required while filling the application form?
Before filling in the application form, the candidate must ensure that the DD of Rs.500 /- (for online) is ready, Scanned photograph of the candidate in .jpg format & all the academic details of the candidate. Please keep the above details ready before filling in the application. These information is required while filling in the online application form.

In which format the scanned photograph should be?
Scanned photograph should be in the format of the .jpg

What should be the size of the scanned photograph ?
The Size of the photograph should be 250X 270 pixels. If there is any problem in scanning the photograph, candidate can take the help of the concerned person in the cyber café or contact any of the C-DAC centre offering the courses.

Can a candidate do multiple registrations?
No. Candidate is required do the only one registration for the course. In case the candidate does multiple registrations or appear for both the CETs his/her candidature will be summarily rejected at any stage of the selection process.

When can a candidate be able to select the center for appearing for CET?
Candidate will be able to select the center for appearing for CET, only after the receipt of registration fee DD at C-DAC, ACTS, Pune. Candidates are advised to check the status of the DD after the seven days of dispatch of the same. Only after the DD received at C-DAC, ACTS, Pune candidate can select the city and the examination center for CET. For this, the candidate needs to log on to acts website using login ID & password.

How can candidate get admit card?
Candidate can download the admit card by logging in our website at http://acts.cdac.in. using the login and password in student’s member’s area. Admit Card is must for appearing for the CET.

Can a candidate change the date of CET / examination center / time slot?
No. 


What is the CET? Is there any negative marking involved? 
The CET is Common Entrance shall Test. CET consist of an online test of 150 objective type questions. Each question shall carry 1 mark. There will be negative marking. Quarter (0.25) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

 

Is the registration fees refundable?
No.

Is the course fee refundable ?
Please refer the section "Rules for Refund" on our website.



Can candidate’s will be able to get the previous year’s Question papers ?
No.

 

How exactly the CET result will be shown to me ?
The results of the CET will be displayed on the Website along with the percentile score of the candidates. A Message clearly indicating whether the candidate has qualified for admission to the respective courses  or not will be flashed. For this purpose candidates need to log on to the Website of C-DAC, ACTS i.e. http//acts.cdac.in.

Apart from cutoff percentile, the candidate will be shown the cut off percentile of the centers. This cutoff percentile will help the candidate while he/she selects the center.

When Can a candidate should select the Centre for the Stage II & III ?
Candidate will be able to select the center for stage II & III only after the receipt of DD of Rs.2500 to C-DAC,ACTS, Pune as first instalment.

The Dates for selecting the center is shown on our website http://acts.cdac.in. for this the candidate need to login using the login Id & Password.




What is the difference between ACTS and ATC’s?
ACTS are C-DAC owned centers where as ATC’s are Authorized Training Centers imparting different courses offered by C-DAC, ACTS.


What are the facilities offered by the ATC’s?
All the ATC’s are functioning as per the set standards and guidelines by C-DAC, Pune and provide the similar academic facilities as C-DAC, ACTS provides.






Bank loan assistance for the other centres?
Major Nationalized Banks offer the facility of educational loans to the selected candidates as per the norms of the individual banks. Specifically the Bank of India vide its circular number HO 93/15 dated April 21, 1999 have recognized the courses of C-DAC for the processing of Educational Loan under “VIDYA VARDHINI SCHEME”. 


Can I have the change of center for undergoing DAC, DVLSI, WIMC course?
C-DAC does not encourage any transfers under any circumstances whatsoever; as the selection is strictly based on performance in CET. Hence no transfer is possible. 


Can candidate appear for all the CET’s
No. Candidate can appear only for one CET.
