Qualification
The eligibility for the course is, BE / ME or Equivalent (AMIE, AIETE), B.Sc
(Engg), BIS (Bachelor of Internet Sciences), Bachelor Of E-Commerce, MCA (After
B.Sc), MCS (After B.Sc), M.Sc (Electronics, Instrumentation, Physics, Chemistry,
Biology, Mathematics, Zoology), MCM (With B.Sc), MBA (Systems), BCS, B.Sc (IT), B
.Sc (Comp. Sc.), BCA, B.Pharmaceuticals, M.Pharmaceuticals and Biomedical
Engineering, MBBS (including interns), MS/MD/DM/M.Ch., BDS/MDS, Bachelor/Master
in Alternative Medicine, Any Certificate/Diploma courses of minimum 2 years
duration recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI).
Additionally, Professionals having minimum 2 Years of relevant working experience in Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals, NGO's active in health care, Insurance companies, Healthcare organizations, Medical equipment suppliers, Clinical research organizations, and Medical Colleges having aptitude and interest in this interdisciplinary area can participate in the course.
Computing Background
Sound knowledge of computing fundamentals is required. Understanding of programming concepts will be an added advantage.
Note: Non-Computer background applicant may take admission in preDAC course conducted by C-DAC and its affiliates so that they will be competent on computers

Course Fees
The total fees for the course is Rs. 66, 000/- (Rupees Sixty Six Thousand only) to be paid in two installments by Demand Drafts drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favor of "C-DAC, ACTS" and payable at “Pune”. The course fee is inclusive of the course material to be provided to the individual student.
The first installment of Rs. 2, 500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred only) is to be paid after the declaration of CET result and on or before the date mentioned in the course schedule in the instruction sheet given along with the printed application form or on this website. Once candidate selects the centre for appearing for stage II of the admission process or the date of selection of the centre is over, the first installment of course fees of Rs 2,500/- will be non refundable irrespective of candidate is selected for the course or not.
Candidate needs to update the details of DD of second installment of course fees of Rs. 63,500/-(Rupees Sixty Three Thousand Five Hundred only) on ACTS website & then send the same to “C-DAC, ACTS”, “Pune”. The second installment of the course fees of Rs. 63,500/-(Rupees Sixty Three Thousand Five Hundred only) is to be paid on or before the last date mentioned in the course schedule in the instruction sheet given along with the printed application form or on this website.
Rules for Refund of Course Fees
Candidates should specifically apply for Refund of Course fees only through the candidate's member area on C-DAC ACTS website (http://acts.cdac.in).
Manual / written / email applications for refund of fees will not be entertained in any case.
The course fees paid by the candidate shall be refunded in following circumstances:
If the candidate doesn’t choose the centre for appearing for stage II of the selection process and specifically opt for “Course Fee Refund”: option before last date of selection of the centre. The fees shall be refunded within 30 days from the last date of selection of the centre.
If the candidate selects the centre for stage II :
Once the candidate selects the centre for appearing for stage II of the admission process or the date of selection of the centre is over, the first installment of course fees of Rs. 2500/- will be non refundable irrespective of candidate is selected for the course or not.
If the candidate applies for refund within 30 days from last date for the payment of Second Installment of the course fees:
Fifty percent of the total course fees paid shall be refunded within 60 days from the commencement of the course.
In case of an unfortunate incidence of death of the student before conclusion of the course, the course fees paid by him/her shall be refunded completely to the legal heirs.
The fees paid by the candidate shall not be refunded
1. If the candidate applies for refund of first installment after last date of selection of centre for appearing to stage II of the admission process. No refund will be paid.
2. If the candidate applies for the refund of the first and second installment of the course fees paid after 30 days from the last date of payment of second installment of the course fees. No refund will be paid.
Important: C-DAC, ACTS Pune reserves right to change or withdraw the rules for refund of course fees from batch to batch

The application form for admission to PGDHI course is to be filled online at http://acts.cdac.in (recommended). The non-refundable registration fee of Rs.500/- for the CET is to be paid by DD drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of ‘C-DAC, ACTS’ payable at Pune and sent to:

Candidates are required to give the details on the backside of the DD like Name of the Candidate, Registration ID, Form No, Contact No and the course applied for i.e. PGDHI February 2010 batch.
Date & Venue
The course would commence on 25 February 2010 at the Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS), C-DAC, Pune. It may please be noted that PG - DHI is currently being offered only at the C-DAC Pune centre.
Selection Process
The Selection process leading to confirmed admission shall unfold in two stages as described below:
Stage-I
The Common Entrance Test (CET) for the admission process would be conducted online at the C-DAC, ATC, centres. Candidate can select the examination centre and time slot for CET center only after the upload of resent passport size photograph and receipt of the registration fees of Rs.500 /- at C-DAC, ACTS, Pune. Once the candidate selects the date of CET, it will not be changed under any circumstances.
Declaration of result
The result of the CET will be displayed on the website along with the percentile score of the candidates on the day of the result mentioned in the schedule. A message clearly indicating whether the candidate has qualified for Stage II & III will be displayed along with the percentile score in form of a “CET Score Card”. Candidate can view the details online for appearing for Stage II &III of selection process of February 2010 batch of PGDHI course. For this purpose candidates need to log on to the website using registration ID and password.
Candidate need to update the details of DD of first installment of course fees of Rs. 2,500/- on ACTS website & then send the same on or before last date mentioned in the schedule on http://acts.cdac.in website to C-DAC, ACTS, Pune.
Stage-II
Technical and Personal Interview
This stage shall consist of a technical interview based on the syllabus of the CET and a personal interview of the candidate.
After the candidate successfully completes all the stages of the selection process, he/she shall be given a letter of Offer of Confirmed Admission to the PGDHI course on the that day.
