Free Career Oriented Coaching Scheme for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune An autonomous institution working under the Department of Social Welfare Government of Maharashtra, National Commision of Scheduled Caste (NCSC), Maharashtra and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) (Premier R&D institute and Scientific Society under Department of Information Technology Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Government of India) have jointly taken initiative to offer Preparatory Course for Diploma in Advanced Computing (PreDAC) followed by 24 weeks full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC) programme to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) Category.

The objective of this programme is to provide career opportunities for the SC students in the ICT industry.

Benefits

The selected candidates shall be benefited with the following additional benefits

  1. Orientation Program prior to commencement of the course.
  2. Stipend of Rs. 4000/- per month during Pre-DAC & of Rs. 6000/- per month during the training of DAC programme shall be paid.
  3. Course material shall be provided.

Important Dates

  1. Date of CCAT I:30th June 2013.

  2. Date of CCAT II:7th Jully 2013.

Who should apply?

Mandatory requirement:

  1. Category - Scheduled Caste(SC)
  2. Domicile Maharashtra State
  3. There is 30% reservation in seats for women SC candidates in PreDAC and PG-DAC courses.

Out of 600 Students undergoing PreDAC, 300 students will be selected through C-CAT examination to PG-DAC and those who do not qualify will have to undergo Diploma in Java Programming and Diploma in MS.NET programming.

Candidates satisfying all the above criteria can apply for the entrance examination.

Candidate who sucessfully complete the PreDAC Course will only be eligible to apply for PG-DAC.

Note:  The students who have previously undergone the PreDAC and PG-DAC in this scheme of BARTI and C-DAC cannot apply again.

Education Qualification :

Eligibility :

  • Graduate in Engg or equivalent (Ex. BE/B. Tech/4 years B. Sc Engg./ AMIE/ AIETE/ DoEACC B level etc) in Electronics/ Electrical/Computer Science or related areas.
  • PG in Engg. Sciences (E.g. MCA/M. Sc. Engg, M. Sc. (Instrumentation, Electronics, CS, IT, EE, etc).
  • Post Graduates in Math or allied areas (Ex. Statistics, Applied Math).
  • PG in Physics or Computational Sciences/Post Graduates in Computing or Management are also eligible provided they hold graduation degree in Sciences.
  • The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination.
  • Final semester of qualifying degree candidates can also apply.
